Stage fright

The phenomenon 'stage fright' is well known to many:the overwhelming physical sensations, the unsettling feeling of doubt and uncertainty, the whirlwind of thoughts...

At its best, stage fright can cause our body and mind to be on high alert so we  can give our best performance.  At its worst, stage fright can escalate into a  crushing fear that makes us give up on what we love the most.

Mieke Wouters has found a tried-and-tested solution for stage fright - including her own.    As a professional musician, Mieke struggled with stage fright for many years. Until, almost by coincidence, she struck upon the framework of “Non-Violent Communication” (Marshall Rosenberg”) as a way of dealing with her anxiety. Immediately, she noticed - in her body and mind - that the process of self-empathy had a much greater impact than anything she had tried before. She developed her life-changing discovery into a fully-fledged methodology and coaching approach, called Free Up & Play, which has helped hundreds already.

Essentially, her method is based on the intelligence of the body. If we listen to our feelings and become aware of our needs, we can eliminate what is blocking us, and our energy can flow freely.  Free Up & Play transforms  anxiety into flow and joy.

Free Up & Play teaches and trains public speakers, musicians, dancers, actors and anyone else interested in learning how to deal with stress and how to shine. You will develop greater self-empathy, get comfortable with your vulnerability and learn how to transform unpleasant experiences, such as stage fright, into an opportunity for self-expression. Your ulnerability will unfold to show its true nature, which is of strength, authenticity and artistic expression. Free Up & Play will bring you greater joy, on stage and in life.
